Extracurricular activities

The band has made an appearance at the OMEA State Marching Band Finals in each of the years from 1997 to 2009 (13 years). The Marysville Marching Monarchs perform the "Incomparable Script OHIO", at football games. Script OHIO has been performed by MHS since 1999, under the direction of Bill Thissen.

Marysville High school is home to the Marysville Swingers Unlimited, an award winning show choir, which travels throughout Ohio and the mid-west. The Swingers Unlimited has been an active group at the high school for over a quarter century, and have won over 17 grand championships in the last seven years. The Marysville Swingers Unlimited are under the vocal direction of Jeremy Alfera and Katie Silcott, with combo direction by Sherman Charles, and choreography by Alfera, Alex Hall, and Randy Sage. Alfera is a nationally known choreographer and has arranged music for many other award winning show choirs as well.

Marysville is also host to a Mock Trial program in the state of Ohio. They have won 1 state title (2005) and have been to states many times during the program's history, most recently in 2009-2010.

A former program that was offered was the Model United Nations. This program was also one of the best in the state of Ohio. The team attended many conferences throughout the nation, going to places like California, Iowa, Earlham College, the University of Dayton, Boston, and the high school nationals in New York City.

The school's Latin Club functions as a local chapter of both the Ohio Junior Classical League (OJCL)[3] and National Junior Classical League (NJCL).[4]
